Best Time to Visit North & West India
- October to March: The most comfortable weather for sightseeing across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and North India. Goa’s beaches are at their best from November to February. This is peak season, so early booking is advisable.
- April to June: Hot, particularly in Rajasthan, Khajuraho and Varanasi. We plan early starts and quieter midday breaks.
- July to September: The monsoon turns Maharashtra’s hills and the Ajanta and Ellora region green, but heavy rain can disrupt travel in Mumbai and Gujarat.
Gir National Park generally closes for the monsoon and reopens around mid-October, so we recommend planning the Explore Gujarat Tour between October and June.
