Deep in Rajasthan Tour – Day-by-Day Itinerary

• Day 1 – Arrival in Delhi: Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure, so you can relax after your flight and settle into India’s vibrant atmosphere. Overnight in Delhi.
• Day 2 – Explore Old & New Delhi: Discover the contrasts of India’s capital. Explore the bustling lanes around Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk, then visit New Delhi’s broad boulevards, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar, an excellent introduction to India’s history and culture. Overnight in Delhi.
• Day 3 – Delhi → Mandawa (approx. 5–6 hrs drive): Drive into the Shekhawati region, often called India’s largest open-air art gallery. Wander through Mandawa’s painted havelis, narrow streets and merchant mansions, decorated with frescoes that reflect Rajasthan’s trading past. Overnight in Mandawa.
• Day 4 – Mandawa → Khimsar (approx. 5–6 hrs drive): Continue through rural Rajasthan to Khimsar. Visit the impressive Khimsar Fort and enjoy the peaceful landscape at the edge of the Thar Desert. In the evening, take an optional sunset camel safari across the nearby dunes. Overnight in Khimsar.
• Day 5 – Khimsar → Jaisalmer (approx. 5–6 hrs drive): Travel deeper into the Thar Desert to the Golden City, where sandstone architecture dominates the scenery. Arrive by evening for your first glimpse of the illuminated fort above the desert. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
• Day 6 – Jaisalmer Sightseeing: Explore the living fort, the Jain temples, Patwon Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ki Haveli and Gadisar Lake. Later, drive to the Sam sand dunes for a sunset camel safari with traditional Rajasthani folk music and dance under the desert sky. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
• Day 7 – Jaisalmer → Rohet Garh (approx. 5–6 hrs drive): Drive to Rohet, a peaceful heritage village in Marwar. In the afternoon, visit nearby Bishnoi villages to see rural life, traditional pottery and weaving, wildlife conservation practices and the unique culture of the Bishnoi community. Overnight in Rohet.
• Day 8 – Rohet → Narlai (approx. 2–3 hrs drive): Continue to the heritage village of Narlai, set among the Aravalli Hills. Spend the afternoon among its ancient temples, stepwells and quiet streets. You can add an optional leopard safari in the nearby Jawai region, or the famous stepwell dinner. Overnight in Narlai.
• Day 9 – Narlai → Deogarh (approx. 1.5–2 hrs drive): Drive through scenic countryside to Deogarh. Explore the magnificent Deogarh Mahal and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this heritage town among the Aravalli hills. Optional village excursions or the rural train ride give a glimpse of everyday life. Overnight in Deogarh.
• Day 10 – Deogarh → Pushkar (approx. 3 hrs drive): Continue to Pushkar, one of India’s oldest pilgrimage towns. Visit the sacred Pushkar Lake, the Brahma Temple, lively local markets and the ghats, and end the day with a peaceful sunset beside the holy lake. Overnight in Pushkar.

• Day 14 – Sunrise Taj Mahal → Delhi (approx. 4–5 hrs drive): Rise early to see the sunrise over the Taj Mahal, one of the world’s great architectural masterpieces. After breakfast, drive back to Delhi, check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed final evening in India. Overnight in Delhi.
