The day in Coorg usually begins on quiet plantation roads where mist still sits low over the coffee estates. The first stop is often Abbey Falls, where you walk through private coffee and spice plantations before reaching the waterfall viewpoint. It’s a short walk, but the surroundings make it feel like you’ve stepped deeper into the hills rather than just a tourist spot.

From here, the drive towards Raja’s Seat includes a few optional stops at roadside viewpoints and small cafés overlooking the valleys. At Raja’s Seat, most travellers spend time just sitting rather than rushing — watching clouds move across the hills and taking in the wide green valley views.

One of the most meaningful stops of the day is the Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can watch elephants being bathed in the river, fed by mahouts, and guided back into their routine.
