This 5-night, 6-day Kashmir tour covers the valley’s best-known destinations in one circuit: Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg. It is a suggested itinerary that we tailor to your dates and pace.

The trip begins on Dal Lake, where houseboats, shikaras and mountain reflections set the tone. Mughal gardens and old-city lanes give a closer look at Kashmir’s cultural layers. From Srinagar you drive to Pahalgam, a quieter valley of riverside views, pine forests and open meadows. It is a base for relaxed walks, pony rides and visits to Betaab Valley and Aru Valley.

The scenery then shifts to Gulmarg, a wide alpine landscape of meadows and, in the colder months, snow-covered peaks. The optional Gondola cable car gives panoramic views of the Himalaya, while the meadows below suit walking and photography. Most days are short drives, but Day 5, from Pahalgam to Gulmarg and back to Srinagar, is a long one, and we can add a night in Gulmarg to ease it.

Day-by-Day Itinerary – 6 Days Srinagar, Pahalgam & Gulmarg Tour

  • Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – Lakeside Welcome & Shikara Ride – Arrive at Srinagar Airport, where our representative meets you for a warm welcome and a transfer to your hotel or traditional houseboat on Dal Lake. After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure to rest and take in the calm surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a shikara ride on Dal Lake, passing floating gardens, wooden houseboats and mountain reflections at sunset. Overnight in Srinagar.
  • Day 2: Srinagar Sightseeing – Mughal Gardens & Old City – After breakfast, visit the Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh and Chashme Shahi, set against the Zabarwan hills. Continue to Shankaracharya Temple for panoramic views of Dal Lake and the city. Later, explore the old-city lanes and local markets known for Kashmiri handicrafts, saffron, dry fruits and Pashmina shawls. Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight in Srinagar.
  • Day 3: Srinagar to Pahalgam – Valley Drive & Riverside Stay (approx. 95 km / 2.5–3.5 hrs) – After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam through pine forests, apple orchards, saffron fields (seasonal) and river valleys. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax by the Lidder River. The rest of the day is free for short walks or simply enjoying the mountain air. Overnight in Pahalgam.
  • Day 4: Pahalgam Exploration – Betaab Valley & Aru Valley – Spend the day exploring Pahalgam’s natural beauty. Visit Betaab Valley and Aru Valley, plus optional Chandanwari, each known for green meadows, snow-fed streams and Himalayan views. This is a relaxed sightseeing day, ideal for photography, pony rides and nature walks. Return to the hotel by evening. Overnight in Pahalgam.
  • Day 5: Pahalgam to Gulmarg & Return to Srinagar (Pahalgam to Gulmarg approx. 5–6 hrs; Gulmarg to Srinagar approx. 1.5–2 hrs) – After an early breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers”. Enjoy the alpine meadows, with snow-covered peaks in the colder months. Optional activities include the Gondola cable car to Apharwat Peak, pony rides or short walks. After sightseeing, drive back to Srinagar by evening. Overnight in Srinagar.
  • Day 6: Departure from Srinagar – After breakfast, check out of your hotel or houseboat. Depending on your flight time, you may take a short walk around Dal Lake or shop for souvenirs. Later, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey, with memories of Kashmir’s lakes, valleys and mountains.
