Day: 01 Arrival Mumbai
Welcome to India, You will be received by Premium India Tours representative at international airport and assisted to your hotel. In the Hotel you will have a brief description of your tour and the representative will hand over your documents regarding the tour, Overnight in Hotel. Mumbai is a cluster of Seven Islands and derives its name from Mumbadevi, the patron goddess of the koli fisher folk, its oldest inhabitants. Mumbai pulsates with activity. It is a city that is disciplined by no time frame neither day nor night. It is also the country's financial powerhouse, the nation's industrial heartland, and its economic nerve center. Dazzling shopping arcades, exciting sport activity, nightclubs & discotheques, theater& music, gourmet restaurants and interesting sightseeing. It offers visitors a heady mix of all this and more
Day 02 Mumbai
After breakfast takes a sight seeing tour of Bombay, drive to Gateway of India and from here cruise by motorboats to Elephanta Caves. A flight of 100 steps takes you to the top of the hill where it is set. The caves houses large pillars that seem to hold the ceiling which is made of cross beams. The picturesque presentations of the 9 marvelous sculptured panels, set on the walls are awe-inspiring. The most famous of the panels is the Trimurthi, or triple-headed Shiva, where the God is depicted as the destroyer, the preserver and the creator. Later in the afternoon cruise back to Gateway of India, one can have lunch at the Taj Hotel or other several good Restaurants like Leopold & Mondegar serving continental cuisine. Later visit Prince of Wales Museum, Parliament House, Marine Drive, Jain Temple, Hanging Gardens, Return back to the hotel for overnight.
Note: Elephanta Caves and Prince of Wales museum are closed on every Monday.
Day 03 Goa (By Flight)
After breakfast check out the hotel and transfer to the domestic airport to board the scheduled flight for Goa. On arrival transfer to the hotel. After relaxation you can take a visit to the city life of Western Suburban visiting Iscon Temple and shopping at the big malls like Shoppers Stop, In Style, West End. If you are staying at South Mumbai, you can visit to Gateway of India, Marine drive also known as queens necklace in the night, Mahalaxmi Temple and for shopping visit to Cross Road, Phoenix Mill- Bombay Bazaar. Later in the afternoon check out the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the afternoon flight for Goa. On arrival transfer to the hotel. After relax evening free for leisure on beach resort. Over night stay in hotel. Goa: A Portuguese explorer, Afonso de Albuquerque sailed up the river Mandovi, defeated the Bijapuri army and rode into the capital triumphantly bearing a Portuguese Standard in one hand, and a Gold Crucifix in the other. A curious blending of cultures took place, affecting every sphere of Goa life, from religion to architecture, cuisine to art. The chapter of Goa's history ended 451 years later when Goa ceased to be a Portuguese colony, and became a part of the Indian Union. Parasailing, yachting, windsurfing, and deep sea diving are some of the more popular water sports, facilities for which are available. 451 years of Portuguese rule has imbued Goa's towns and villages with a unique culture. Whitewashed chapels and churches that dot the landscape are surrounded by sleepy villages and rice fields.
Day: 04 Goa
After breakfast, the day is free to enjoy the beaches and amenities available at the resort. You can take a sightseeing tour of Old Goa -10 km from Panjim, the basilica of Bom Jesus, the 16th century church dedicated to infant Jesus and enshrining the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, is one of the most important sight of Goa. The other Churches in the same area are St. Cathedral, with its vaulted interior, Church of our Lady of Rosary and Nunnery of St. Monica. The Aguada Fort built by the Portuguese commands the mouth of the Mondovi River and houses a lighthouse. And in the evening enjoy Cruise over Mondovi River. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day: 05 Goa
After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of the city visiting Anjuna, Calangute and Vagator beaches. Rest of the day free for leisure at beach and resort
Day 06 Goa - Mumbai (By Train)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel transfer to the Madgoan Railway station to board the morning train to Mumbai. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Mumbai.
Day 07 Mumbai - Ahmedabad (By Flight)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the afternoon flight for Ahmedabad. Assistance on arrival and transfers to the hotel. Day is free for rest and relaxation in the hotel. Overnight at Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad, founded in the year 1411 AD is located on the banks of river Sabarmati. Ahmedabad has been named after Sultan Ahmed Shah, who was primarily responsible for building it. Today, this city is known as the 'Manchester of the East'. One of the highly industrialized cities in India, Ahmedabad is also India's Textile City. The old city of Ahmedabad is dotted with labyrinthine bylanes called 'pols'. The exquisite carved wooden mansions and Havelis are in no manner less than their stone counterparts in Rajasthan. The city is full of architectural delights. Though the capital of Gujarat was shifted from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar, it is still the second largest industrial city in western India.
Day 08 Ahmedabad
Today morning after breakfast take a sightseeing tour of the city, visiting the magnificent Mosque of Siddi Saiyad with its exquisite stone carvings, the beautiful Jama Masjid, white marbled Hathee Singh's Temple, Dada Hari Baoli, Shaking Minarets, Calico Textile Museum and Sabarmati Ashram started by Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon visit to Akshardham 32 kms. Afternoon excursion to Patan visiting Rani-Ki-Vav and other architectural buildings Return to the hotel for overnight
Day 09 Ahmedabad - Rajkot (220 kms - 4 ½ hours)
After breakfast checkout and drive to Rajkot, on arrival transfer to the hotel. After relaxation take a sightseeing tour of Rajkot visiting Watson Museum located in the pleasant Jubilee garden, Swaminarayan Temples and Gurukul are the places where people of all faith go to seek blessings, Race Course, A center of fun & amusement, having Bal-Bhawan, planetarium, a small zoo & park with various rides. Later visit to the local market, which is famous for its Bandhani Sarees, mirror-work, patchwork, beadwork and silk embroidery. In the evening take an excursion tour to Jamnagar -86 kms 1 ½ hours, known for its tie-&-dye work on fabrics, silken & gold embroidery. Then return to Rajkot for overnight stay. Rajkot was founded in the year 1610 AD by Chief Vibhaji Jadeja & Raju Sandhi. Rajkot was once the capital of the princely state of Saurashtra. Today it is best known as the town where Mahatma Gandhi spent the early years of his life when his father was a Diwan or Prime Minister to the king of Saurashtra. Rajkot is famous for its Bandhani Sarees, mirror-work, patchwork, beadwork and silk embroidery
Day 10 Rajkot - Porbander (170 kms - 3 hours)
Today in the morning check out and drive to Porbander enroute visit Virpur - (68 kms -1 ½ hours) to visit Jalaram Temple. Then continue to proceed to Porbander (the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, is a picturesque little seaside resort on the west coast of Gujarat) on arrival transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Porbander is Saurashtra's end - a picturesque seaport on the Arabian Sea. It is situated 395 Kms from Ahmedabad. It is also known as "White City" because of its white stone construction. It is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Porbander has a pleasant beach with beach villas. Its ancient maritime activities - trade with Arabia, Africa and Persia have given way to a thriving industry of cement and chemical units.
Day 11 Porbander - Junagarh / Sasan Gir (107 kms-2 hours)
After breakfast take a sightseeing tour visiting Kirti Mandir, Bharat Mandir, Sudama Mandir, then return to the hotel for checkout and drive to Sasan Gir. On arrival transfer to the Jungle Resort. Day free to individual activities in the jungle resort. Overnight stay at the resort. Junagarh is situated in the western state of Gujarat at the foothills of the Girnar Hills. The city of Junagarh takes its name from the fort that encloses the old city. Junagarh was an important trade center as testified by the Ashokan edicts dating from 250 BC. The present-day city has many archeological sites and historical monuments that reflect the rich history of the place. Sasan Gir Lion Sanctuary, which lies on the southwestern fringes of the Saurashtra Peninsula (west-central India), is the last home of some 300 Asiatic lions. It was created in 1913 to protect the largest surviving groups of the Asiatic lions. It was given a sanctuary status in 1965. The vegetation in the area consists of teak with a mixture of deciduous trees, including sal (Shorea), dhak (Butea frondosa), and thorn forests. A few springs also exist, but their flow is rather eccentric depending upon the season. Gir Forest is today the only place in the world outside Africa, where the lion can be seen in his natural habitat.
Day 12 Sasan Gir
After breakfast, take a jungle safari in the park, which is the entrance to the 1412 sq. km Gir National Park and the Wild Life Sanctuary, the last stronghold of the Lion population outside Africa. It also plays home to a large number of Panthers, Hyenas, Deer, the world's only 4-horned Antelope, Blue Bull, Wild Boar and the dangerous Marsh Crocodile. Overnight at the jungle resort.
Day 13 Sasan Gir - Somnath - Diu (120 kms - 2 hrs)
Morning after breakfast proceeds to Somnath reroute visiting Veraval (Somnath) 26 kms - one of the India's major fishing ports. Visit Bhalkeshwar temple and Bhid Bhanjan Mandir. Proceed to Somnath visit the seat of the twelve most sacred "Jyotirlingas' of Lord Shiva, continue the drive to Diu, on arrival check in into hotel. Overnight at hotel. Somnath is about 5kms from Veraval. It is believed that the Somnath temple here was originally built by Somraj, the Moon God himself, out of gold, and then rebuilt by Ravana in silver and then by Krishna in Wood, then by Bhimdev in stone. The shore temple of Somnath was believed to have been built in 4 phases-in gold by Lord Soma, in silver by Ravana, in wood by lord Krishna and in stone by Bhimdev. Somnath is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of lord Shiva. Somnath is also known as Prabhas Patan.
Day 14 Diu - Palitana - Bhavnagar (200 kms 4 hrs)
Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Bhavnagar, en route visit Palitana - The Place of Victory, Visit the exclusive Jain temples, proceed to Bhavnagar. On arrival check in into hotel. Evening visit Takhteshwar Temple, Gaurishankar Lake - a beautiful picnic spot and the Lock Gate. Overnight stay at hotel. Bhavnagar: An 18th century city, Bhavnagar is a premier cotton-exporting sea-port on the south-eastern Saurashtra coast. Today, Bhavnagar is known for Gandhi Smriti, an institution built in memory of Mahatma Gandhi, the Barton Museum, the Central Salt and Marine Research Institute,Takhteswar temple and Gauri-Shankar lake
Day 15 Bhavnagar - Ahmedabad (142 kms: 3 hrs) /Ahmedabad - Mumbai (By Air)
After breakfast checkout and drive to Ahmedabad, on arrival transfer to airport to board the afternoon flight for Mumbai. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Later evening free for shopping in the local market. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Day 16 Mumbai - Depart
After breakfast checkout the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the schedule flight for your hometown. On departure tour concludes with happy memories.
